In response to Mt Morris City Police Department post... I'd like to address the points made by them.

⚠️ First it saddens me that a post like this has to be made in defense of a great law enforcement agency.

⚠️"Rumors"
are nothing but attempts to start trouble by people who are not part of the solution.

⚠️"Interacting with the community"
absolutely unbelievable that this has to be justified. As we all see, it's a very low percent of the city residents that have a problem with our great police department interacting with the community. So just in case anyone needs a refresher, MMCPD is and always will be the front door to our community. THEY help,assist, search,find,arrest, patrol etc our community and we the public need to stand with them in support of our community. So as far as I'm concerned any public interaction by our GREAT police department is a great thing for our community. The power of our police as public Representatives is priceless!

⚠️"On going problems"
as a community we all have the opportunity to hear about crimes in our area on Facebook. But what FB doesn't tell you is the trouble we have with parents just allowing there juvenile children to just do whatever they want. As a a local resident, I've personally seen juveniles walking around at all hours of the night. At what point is this a parental problem. Police can only do so much.

⚠️"Overtime"
just a simple thank you for stepping up and being a great law enforcement agency. We NEED YOU and stand in support of YOU!

⚠️"Dealing with juveniles"
and once again I feel the simple answer is "at what point is this a parental problem" local law enforcement can only do so much. If the parents just allow their juveniles to run free, we the public need to vote for change where the adults are charged.

⚠️"Hinders our investigations"
our job as a community is to help law enforcement NOT the suspected criminal. Let's all do a better job with that. Also we are all aware that in certain circumstances law enforcement hands are tied on what they can share.

⚠️"yes we did take a few minutes out of our day to take a picture with a little girl"
hmmmmm I'm speechless. Why did they include this? Well they included this BECAUSE THEY HAD TO! Apparently a VERY SMALL AMOUNT of our community doesn't stand WITH our law enforcement but would rather take a stand AGAINST our law enforcement. That has to change. If we the public what more from them, then we need to stand with them in SUPPORT!

⚠️"Arrests have been made"

Police are only one step in the ladder and can only do so much.

⚠️"Never brought to our attention"
anyone who slanders the local law enforcement on topics not reported to them are just as guilty as the criminal. YOU only played a game against a team who wasn't even present. That's not how this works. You need to REPORT it if you want change. POSTING online really only shows the problem to the public not law enforcement.

⚠️ "Upset with us taking pictures with community members"
(Hand on my forehead in shame) please take more pictures. We have one of the greatest law enforcement agency around! We as a community are extremely lucky to have such a great group of officers. I/we love that you are apart of our community and stand with you in ALL of your community services! Including "PUBLIC RELATIONS"

So In closing, MMCPD thank you for everything you do! We stand with you and support you!

Good morning everyone. Just a small update. We have spoken with Mt Morris city police. They are aware of who we are and what our intentions are. At this time we are only speaking with the police and nothing has been set in stone. If there are doubts please see picture that was taken from a different Mt Morris City group. Also comments in regard of personal information. At no time are we asking for YOUR personal information. We are ONLY asking for Mt Morris city residents to share security camera video of people suspected of a crime on private property and or people suspected of a crime in PUBLIC VIEW! So today we would like to talk about the need for proper date and time settings on your home security system. Its extremely important in proper use of the playback function. It's also very important in being familiar with the playback function of your system. We are asking that everyone please check their time, date and take a moment in using it. If you are unsure, you can search your system make and model on YouTube.

I would like to clarify a few things. I'm a home owners in Mt Morris city. I graduated from EAJ. I live and worked in this community. I'm only keeping my information private because we all know that not everyone is fine with cooperating with law enforcement.

⚠️ OUR MISSION ⚠️

Imagine if your bike was stolen and the police can't do anything because of lack of evidence pointing them in a direction where they can prosecute the criminal and return your property....

🚨So that's where we the community and Mt Morris City MI Street Camera View can help. We will send out a SEEK and FIND request asking you the community to review your home security footage on a certain date and time range looking for the bike and then TRACKING the bike and hopefully ultimately finding the bike and or the offenders who took the bike. In a perfect world with the full cooperation of the public, it is truly possible to "VIEW" a crime in it's entirety! The possibility are endless!

🚫 Please note, when a seek and find request is initiated not all video will show enuff evidence to find the ending place and it is possible to have to send out multiple seek and find requests while the person or persons are being tracked across the city. If you truly have evidence of a crime we ask that you please notify local law enforcement directly. If you do not want to speak directly to them that where we will come In and we will interact for you.

Hello everyone! We need help building a new local page, who's goal is to help fight local crime. We are called Mt Morris City MI Street Camera View It's purpose is to help assist local law enforcement with local Mt Morris City MI crimes.
