When purchasing batteries to put in a safe door lock do not purchase the ever ready Elkhorn batteries or the Duracell max or the energizer pro they are too much power and they will stop your product from working. You should always go with a Duracell copper top with a good date of 2032 or a standard energizernothing more or nothing less

If you haven’t replaced your 9 V or AA batteries in your home safe or gun safe in a while. It’s time to do that. Please make sure you’re looking at the dates on the batteries. You should be putting a copper top or a standard battery. That is a good quality and the date should say 2032 or higher on the battery.
