City of Mt.Pleasant just wondering who is getting billed for garbage pick up on the new trash ordinance? I know some businesses are being billed and some are not. I am the last house in city limits and the city has picked up trash for me exactly zero times the last 30 years and they do NOT pick up recycling either yet they now bill me for it and still DO NOT pick anything up or even come by, they also did not deliver a trash receptacle. I do not see any trash containers up town for each business nor do I see trash receptacles at ANY of the apartment buildings in Mt. Pleasant so I am wondering how some people get out of paying for a service the city is not providing? It can’t be because they are zoned commercial because my daughters business (zoned commercial) does not have a trash container either but they are also billed for one. I did go to the city council meeting and voiced my concerns but like everything else with the city and Brent it falls on deaf ears. They told me I was an exception and they would have to figure something out and then did NOTHING, not even a phone call, letter or anything after the meeting, the only thing I got was a bill for a service they DO NOT provide me. I also do not have city water or city sewer even though I am in city limits. Please let me know if you are exempt and how you got it. Thank you for helping me. Forcing me to pay for a service they do not provide can not be legal, I need help.
