Local friends, I have three tomatoes I want to re-home, I grew them from seed and they are ready to go in the ground. A Black Krim, a Brandy Boy and a salad Campari type, would be nice for them to go together.

Do you know the difference between a male and female squash blossom? The male pollen covered anther appears in the middle of the flower which is on a long stem while the female flower has a miniature fruit at the base and the stigma in the center of the blossom has multi bumpy structures in a circle.
If you are not getting mature squash, try hand pollinating by removing a male blossom and rubbing the anther on the female, or use a q-tip to transfer pollen or simply use your finger.

Growing wisdom from Richo Cech of Strictly Medicinal Seeds. If you are looking for herbal medicine seeds, Cech is the best, he grow seeds and literally wrote the books on plant medicine!

Well, nobody's perfect... A Danvers 126 carrot I pulled up yesterday, which then rode around with me on my errands, until admittedly, I ate it. Any hesitation I felt around the anthropomorphic shape and cannibalism gave way to crunchy sweetness. Hesitation is the substrate of prudence, I know, but prudent people may never experience the rush of life that accompanies jumping into wild water--or the taste of a carrot not storebought, for that matter. As an herbalist, I do not give over my responsibility for my own body, or my right to grow my own food without visiting the store, or my right to prescribe my own medicine without listening to a doctor. I am not want to fear. I choose faith over fear.

For those who may not know, squash blossoms are male and female and the female needs to be fertilized to grow their fruit. It can be accomplished by insects or by hand. If your fruit doesn’t develop it probably wasn’t fertilized.

Got Pallets?
Hate weeding?
Dont feel like turning up a bunch of grass?
Use a pallet as a garden bed - staple garden cloth on the backside of the pallet fill with dirt and start growing!
You can also place your pallet on the ground in a rocky location rather than a grassy area, this way you will not need the garden cloth to stop the weeds and grass comin through.
Please be advised: Use raw wood pallets!
Some that are shipped overseas may contain chemicals. Where I am from most are from raw wood - not saying that everywhere is!
And for those of you that don't know where to get pallets - look in industrail areas, hardware stores etc.
Please if you have any questions - there are many links below and so much information provided by every one and their comments!
This was just an idea - some inspiration for everyone.
Enjoy!
