How to turn a crappy front lawn into a beautiful garden of edibles and pollinator attractants:
1. Invite friends over for a lawn turnover party 😃
2. Use dead sod to frame in gardens.
3. Plant edibles with pollinator perennials such as Monarda, Agastache, Budlea and Echinacea and pest repellants such as marigolds
4. Fertilize with organic compost and steer manure
5. Spend quality time in your garden enjoying your flowers, birds, bees, butterflies and the fruit of your labor! This garden is growing corn, 7 kinds of squash, 3 kinds of pumpkins, 4 kinds of melons, 4 kinds of cucumbers, 8 kinds of tomatoes, lettuce, arugula, kale, spinach and peas!
*Why water grass when you can water food?!

My client took this photo today after I worked to prune and shape their plants. I love what I do. I want to share the one thing that make my job so rewarding is the connection I get to share with my clients.
Horticulture is therapy and I live for time spent with homeowners through the joys that working with plants and improving theirs properly can bring!

Today’s Garden treasure was a horse hair nest in a rose bush with three beautiful blue finch eggs and one Song Sparrow changeling egg.
I resonate with Changeling folklore as the black sheep of my family. This was the first time I witnessed it in a nest. I pray they stay safe from predators and next week I can share a photo of baby birds 🤗

God spoke today in flowers,
and I, who was waiting on words,
almost missed the conversation.

I love transforming spaces and educating clients about what plants they have.
This little space is a sanctuary for an amazing woman who is a phenomenal healer.
I didn’t get a pic of the original before with lots of leaves and acorns but these photos do show what a difference some new fertilized plantings and gorgeous organic compost for topsoil makes!

Remember what we are made of - Humans are made from the earth!
human & hum. These ROOT-WORDS are HUM & HUMAN which come from the Latin humus, meaning EARTH & GROUND and the Latin humanus which means MAN. ... It begins with HUMus, earth, then becomes HUMble, lowly; finally to HUMAN, Man.
