In case you missed it, it's cold... like really, really cold! Most fuel oil companies charge extra fees for things like same day delivery or restarting the burner after you've run out of fuel. Avoid these fees and prevent problems with your heating system or freezing pipes by ensuring that you don't run out of fuel. Check those gauges and don't wait until you're low to call and schedule a delivery. You'll be happy (and so will your fuel oil company!).

LIHEAP has authorized a $100 supplemental grant for the 2024-2025 heating season for people who meet the following criteria: having a household member or members aged 5 or younger, a household member aged 60 or older, or a household member who receives income for a disability. Payments were deposited into eligible accounts on August 27th. These monies can be used toward a previous delivery or a future delivery and are not dependent upon eligibility for the 2025-2026 LIHEAP season. Let us know if you have any questions!

ATTENTION LIHEAP RECIPIENTS!

The 2024-25 LIHEAP Season officially begins Monday, November 4, 2024, and ends Friday, April 4, 2025. If you received funding for the 2023/24 heating season, online applications will be accepted beginning Monday, August 26th. For those of you who did not apply online, a paper application will be mailed to you.

PLEASE NOTE: You can only apply before November 4th if you received funding last year. Applications for new recipients will not be accepted before November 4th.

Projected amounts available are $200 - $1000 for cash grants, and up to $1000 for crisis grants.
