It took me almost three years to get here. 2020 I hopped on the fear train and started gardening. Because the world was ending ya know and how else were we gonna eat🤷🏼‍♀️😂
Tough times will come, and go. But the knowledge that I have learned in that time now fills my heart with pride. These 7 jars... Almost as if they are preserving the work, tears and sweat that it took to establish my garden and learn how to grow my own food. Seed to table. Will and can I grow enough to sustain our family all year every year? No. But is the knowledge there? Is the ability there? Is the fear gone? Yes♥️

Seed swap anyone? 😃 Going though my stash, deciding what worked well for me and what I may plant next year with some changes or what I have an over abundance of. Here is a list of the ones I am interested in swapping! Cream Sausage Tomato, Roma Tomato, Cherry Tomato, Utah Tall Celery, Bloomsdale Longstanding Spinach, Sierra Gold Cantelope, Minnesota Midget Cantelope, Crimson Sweet Watermelon, Mammoth Table Queen Squash, Tendergreen Burpless Cucumber, Muncher Cucumber, English Lavender, Mammoth Dill, White Lisbon Bunching Onions and Purple Vienna Kohlrabi. Please DM me if you are interested in swapping for anything and what you may have. Wasn't sure how this trellis of mystery gourd was going to turn out. Store bought gourd we retrieved out of the yard this spring. Forgotten from the fall before. It was small, crook necked and half yellow half green. A case or cross pollination I'm guessing? None of these look the same as the "mother gourd" and are 3 different plants that have over taken this trellis. A magical unveiling that just keeps getting better. Gets me in the mood for fall😊🍁🍂🎃

5 cabbage, 4 Brussels, 6 spinach, dino kale, dwarf blue scotch kale, kohlrabi. All getting hardened off under shade cloth (ok ok its a sheet) ready for fall planting!!!!

There are always successes and failures in every aspect of gardening and in life. Last year my onions remained puny, never bulbed and shriveled away in the summer heat. With ALOT of reading and binging YouTube tutorials, and implementing new techniques, this year's harvest exceeded expectations!😮😍
Whatever next year brings I will not be discouraged and I will continue to learn and try again. That is the greatest lesson gleaned from this harvest and my garden ❤😊

Does anyone else let spots in their garden "go to pot" when its almost harvest time anyway? Onions amungst the weeds and potatos bed that is looking quite forgotten😅
