There have been reports that show it as high as 30%.

Cleaning your solar panels yourself comes with great risk. You risk your personal safety, especially if you are not comfortable or not sure what you are doing, you run the risk of being injured.

Soap and water wont hurt your panels. However, you still run the risk of damaging your solar panels. Afterall, this is an electrtical system. Some things are best left to professionals.
