Located in the heart of Downtown Mariposa, we’re here and happy to help. Swipe to see the process of a pipe repair we did at the Gramercy Court Asisted Living and Memory Care Project in Sacramento!
The owners had been dealing with drainage issues with their dish washer for years. They originally bought a new dish washer thinking that the previous one was just old and not working anymore and thats why they were having problems, but soon found out that even with a new dish washer, the same problems were still occurring.
They spent a lot of time gathering quotes and having companies stop by to take a look to see what was really causing the drainage issues but they always got mixed answers from others, and didn’t felt safe or confident enough to move forward with repairs due to the conflicting answers they were getting.
When our team was called in for an estimate, we used our equipment to locate the issue and outlined a plan to fix it which consisted of the following things that you can see on the pictures below.
Some of the things that our scope of work consisted of are the following:
- We framed a temporary wall and installed drywall to ensure the residents safety and that nobody would be able get into our scope of work area. We also masked the area and closed it off to ensure that dust or debris would not escape.
- After the flooring was removed, we used our equipment to layout the area where we were going to be breaking concrete. Although we have plenty of jack hammers that we could’ve used to make the demolition of concrete easier and faster for us, we decided to do it the old fashioned way and use sledge hammers instead, for the sake of keeping the residents happy by making sure that we didn’t disturb them with such loud noises. Due to this building being specifically for elders, we didn’t want to disturb their peace with the extra loud sounds that jack hammers would’ve caused.
- After the concrete, rocks, and dirt was removed, we installed new pipes in the problem areas.
- After everything was repaired, we installed rebar and gravel and poured concrete back on to the patched area and now the facility nurses can put their new dish washer to use! We’re happy to have been the solution to an ongoing dilemma.
