Mountain View, Arkansas Iris Festival

To the folks who have followed this page, thereby supporting the Mountain View Iris Festival. It is apparent that I have failed to update information on this page. There are a number of volunteers who work to bring you the festival. Thank you for your interest in our work on beautification projects.

Over time, the Facebook Groups have provided great communication between the volunteers and the public. Please consider joining Mountain View Iris Festival group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1700199660229154 to join this public group.

Folks, I am over my skis in updating pages and groups. When we started the festival, I jumped at anything to showcase our volunteers and community. If there are any questions, please let me know. I also maintain our website. The website menu keeps folks updated on festival dates, events, and our irises.

Again, we appreciate your support and look forward to meeting you May 2-3, 2025 at our 7th annual iris festival.

This is our new Mountain View Iris Festival Volunteer and Mascot! I would like to introduce you to “Nova” Cynthia Bartholomew’s new puppy. Cynthia and Nova are both loyal friends and volunteer many hours in community service! Welcome Nova!

If you have never been in the beautiful Ozark mountains in April-May of the year, we invite you to visit us in Mountain View, Arkansas. During the day, the Ozark National Forest is alive with colorful trees and shrubs. If you travel the roads after dark, the white dogwood and redbud blooms show up in the headlights, leading your way to the "Comfort Zone" of Mountain View! The irises bloom from mid-April until mid-May. There are opportunities to view some of the 200 plus varieties of tall bearded irises during those weeks. Annually, we will host the Mountain View Iris Festival on the first weekend of May. Details may be found by visiting our website. Come and help us "Color the Memories!"

A work in progress! Jane Thomas, Kay Thompson and the Mountain View Iris Society volunteers have worked to set stone, gravel (provided by Urban Forge), Iris, daylilies, and other gardening features to area behind Urban Forge! Great work and assistance from Jerrod Lavey as well! We are blessed when we stand back and look at the results. Now hoping for easier maintenance of this area! Great job volunteers!
