5. menlo park (recently completed) - scandinavian-influenced reno of a sterile new build

our supeingo house kitchen // blending spanish architecture with our client’s natural affinity for japandi style created an earthy, quiet, minimalist-maximalist, warm squeeze of a kitchen 🤎

my personal highlights:
-fluted solid oak hood by my very fave Strong Cabinetry
-custom wine storage rack we designed collaboratively with our clients + i was genuinely surprised they filled it all up
-perfectly imperfect Heath Ceramics tiles 🤍
-lots of open shelving to display collected and homemade ceramic wares by cindy
-forever discontinued Sun at Six stools 🥲
-cuuutest coffee station hidden behind closed doors

it’s been five months since .sf opened, and though i’ve shared about it countless times in stories, i’ve never officially posted pictures of the project here. introducing our very first cafe project, and a special one at that 🥹 loved collaborating with chef and friend and to bring this korean-inspired cafe to life. it ignited in me a love and pride of my heritage that has maybe been dormant in me for a few decades! we created lounge spaces that felt like gathering in a friend’s living room, lots and lots of dining, a curated .stores, with artwork peppered throughout by various korean and korean-american artists. swipe through to the last slide to see our initial concept sketch for the main space 🤎
