These homeowners called us for a shower pan repair that ultimately led to a complete shower tear out and replace. These homeowners were amazing to work with and trusted us to deliver a proper, working shower! Originally they called for a shower pan repair because of sharp tiles sticking up, and with a little investigation we determined this shower needed to come up. We discovered the drain was leaking, they had a leak from the window area and the niches. Video is in the comments of how well this shower was put together! Unfortunately starting scenario for these clients but it come out great! Call us for all your shower needs!

Not just anybody can install large format tiles such as these 2’x4’ Porcelain tiles. It requires specialized cutters to cut such long tiles, not just a grinder. We have spent the money and had the training to pull of such extraordinary installs. We have to use specified suction cups to lift, maneuver, and set in place using multiple people. Strategically planning a layout takes a lot of time, these tiles don’t just fall into place by accident.
Typical waste on a tile project ranges from 10-15% for standard tile installs. But for large tiles, depending on how cut up the room is, we can expect waste to be 20-30%. Double the amount of mortar as well. To get a solid bed, we must use twice the amount of thinset to achieve a 95% coverage rate required by the TCNA. If you don’t have good coverage or have concerns of good coverage, take a blunt object and tap on the tiles of your home. If they sound hollow, well they are.
