The reference photo for this had so much personality and those big, beautiful eyes; I could not resist painting her in this pose. Another pet portrait is complete! Say hello to "Joker," a beautiful pup who has passed on. His owner commissioned this painting and gave me a wonderful reference picture of him looking cute on a blanket. I incorporated the surroundings from the reference picture; love how the deep blues complement his coat. I so enjoyed painting this, and my customer was very pleased with the result.

Another pet portrait is complete! This one was a special request. My client owns four beautiful horses and wanted to have them all represented together on one canvas in a way that is true to life. Using various reference photos, I painted a peaceful backdrop of the client's property and arranged the horses together. This combined my two artistic loves: pet portraits and scenes from nature. I had a lot of fun painting this one; I always love a new challenge!

Another pet portrait commission is complete! This one is for a customer from the great state of Louisiana. Say hello to Treasure, Precious, and Tippie, three beloved dogs who have all crossed the rainbow bridge and whose owners chose to honor and remember them with a custom painting. This is an 18x24" wrapped canvas, painted using acrylics. The customer requested all three pups together with a "simple sky blue background with a wisp of clouds." They were very happy with the finished product.
