This bathroom started out narrow, tired, and boxed in, just not serving the home the way it should. So we stripped it back and rebuilt it with intention.

By removing the closet and the old tub/shower combo, we were able to open the space up in a big way. That shift gave us just enough room to fit a two-person soaking tub with a rain-head shower. Simple, solid, and meant to be used and thoroughly enjoyed.

To bring the outside in, we adjusted the wall to fit a large slider window, letting in natural light and a clear view of the trees. It changed the whole feel of the room. Quiet, steady, and connected to the land around it.

The tile work around the tub and across the floor was done by Clint Chapman, a true craftsman and a perfectionist in the best way. His work is clean, precise, and built to last. Highly recommend him for any tile work. Call/text 815-587-2294 to connect with him directly.

We also:
-Relocated the toilet to improve flow
-Installed a double-sink vanity, new mirror, and lighting
-Added open shelving and a storage cabinet
-Installed all new fixtures throughout
-Added a bathroom vent with multiple lighting options and a Bluetooth speaker.

New Year, New Kitchen! 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣

Before: Closed-off kitchen hiding structural issues.

Current: Strong, functional, open-concept space, ready for its final phase.

What began as a straightforward remodel quickly turned into a full structural and interior transformation.

The homeowners wanted an open-concept kitchen and living room, but once demolition began, the original plans had to be adjusted. We uncovered a load-bearing wall, rotted subflooring, and uninsulated crawlspace areas, which required thoughtful structural and layout changes.

To move forward safely, we installed a temporary support wall and a new engineered beam to properly carry the roof load, finishing it to blend seamlessly with the home. We rebuilt the subfloor, added insulation, updated the walls and ceiling with a matched knockdown texture and 6-inch LED inserts for recessed lighting, and reworked the layout, adding a new laundry room entry and a walk-in hallway closet.

At this stage, the home has been stabilized and significantly upgraded, with high-end LVP flooring throughout, espresso-stained 1×4 baseboards, and an open concept kitchen featuring white Shaker cabinets, a large island, butcher-block countertops, open shelving, and a lazy-Susan corner cabinet. The space is fully functional and positioned for future completion.

This is a complete clean out and remodel we did this summer. The last picture shows you how hoarded the house was. Inside and outside was redone and a wrap around deck was added. It was an honor to bring this house back to the beautiful home it was meant to be. Thanks for looking!

Who's kitchen needs a facelift?? It's amazing what a few things can do to a space! This job got the cabinets sanded and painted. New butcherblock countertops stained and polyed.
