Just wanna brag on Kasey Teasley. She’s a recent client and a fearless DIY-er that purchased cabinets through Smith Home and Design. She ordered the white upper cabinets and the lowers were ordered with a raw finish, that enabled her to apply her own custom paint! She did a great job with her remodel bringing her kitchen to life. The cabinets she ordered are our entry level grade of cabinets but are still solid wood cabinets with soft close everything at a more affordable price point!!! Here are some before and after pics!! Great job Kasey!!!

This kitchen turned out absolutely beautiful!!! The client chose a perfect color combination of color and design. This (Sole Design) kitchen, with uppers hitting the 10’ mark as well as the vanities and laundry, have beautiful quartz countertops from Stone World and hardware through Top K***s.. all purchased through our showroom at Smith Home and Design.

Here’s some insight from start to finish of a custom project..
First.. I’ll show up to get accurate measurements of the space and then listen to the clients ideas. I’ll then do a “to-scale” drawing implementing those ideas.. sometimes with a lot of erasing and re-drawing until I can get the clients mental picture on my paper. At this point, I take the drawing and hand it over to my Rock Star Nichole.. and she does here wizardry work and makes a computer drawing from my low brow hand sketch. Once it gets approved by the client.. I go over the project with Alex and we make a materials list and begin the task of bringing an idea from the clients head to life!! It’s an overall Teamwork makes the Dreamwork event at Smith Home and Design! I’m partial, but I think we do it better than anybody!!

Employee spotlight. My “right hand man”.. ALEX WILLIE ladies and gentlemen.
Very few people have what I call “the knack” for woodworking and cabinetry. To say Alex has the knack is an understatement. He tackles every task like it is his own, and he takes great pride in his work… which translates into making the client a satisfied customer! He’s a professional in every aspect of the job. Whether it’s dealing with clients or simply working alone in the shop. I never worry about what he’s doing because I know whatever it is, it’s getting done right. He takes every initiative necessary and he proudly runs the wood shop at Smith Home and Design.

How about this 11’ wall of custom built in cabinets?!? We had a client in Hopkinsville ask us to turn an empty wall into an eye pleasing focal point. (Built to the clients specs)
Oh… and we also customized the side of an existing cabinet into a doggy watering station. Pretty cool.

Just delivered this custom 12’ conference table for the new Mayfield Fire Department Station 1. She’s a beauty!!
These fire fighters have been displaced since the tornado and it was a honor to be asked to build this for these local heroes!
Shout out to GREER NEON for the emblem in the center of the table!!
