This was concealed in a wall going to a heat pump condenser. We found this when we cut into the siding of the home . The homeowner had stated that he had to add freon in the past and when he called us he had lost his compressor. The copper tubing even ruptured which is rare. The lines were kinked off in two places in the wall and had pinholes in his braze joints . This was improperly installed from day one.

Wow 😲! It is amazing that a rat can get into about anything. We were changing out a heat pump condenser and found this inside the unit. He was no match for the contacts with live high voltage !! 5-23-2018. PS , this is also why snakes like to get around your units, looking for there next meal .

I found this unplanned pathway in a new customers home when I went in there attic to look at there Air Handler. This was a five by two foot hole that went down behind there fireplace. A national builder built this home and left the homeowner with this gaping hole that cold and hot air could travel down from the attic. We put plywood over the hole and insulated on top of it. We also fixed there unit that another company installed that never worked right. It only makes good sense to know who you are dealing with , when you get a monthly power bill from your Electric company !

Carrier Synergy 2000 Heat pump we installed 23 years ago with a variable speed air handler . These were not made in Mexico or China !! Bring these jobs back to the USA !!!
