Who's ready to be blinded by science?

The properties of stone influence it's qualities as well as price. The harder the natural stone, the more time it requires to cut and the more energy it consumes. It can take days to cut one block of granite. While some stones are harder to cut, they're also extremely long lasting because they are so hard.
