The clouds were a little thick this morning so we had to hook camp directly under the helicopter. Usually we have at least a 50’ cable to attach our loads to. This LZ is just under 6,000’ elevation and our camp is at 8,500’ so the mornings are definitely a little chilly to start off the day. We are very lucky to have four great pilots that we are working with through Windward Aviation!

What a stressful few weeks preparing and planning for the start of another contract on Maui. All the glory to God for all of the pieces falling into place perfectly-another truck arriving from Montana on schedule, pallets of tools shipped from the big island arriving on schedule, flight plans filed to move materials with a helicopter to the jobsite, clear skies to fly, food and supplies for a crew of 5 camping out on Haleakala Crater at the 8000' level....Whew!
