Father's day hits different when your father is in heaven.

He's not here to celebrate in person
He's not here to receive a Happy Father's Day text or phone call
He's not here for us to wrap our arms around for that Father's Day hug

My father taught me everything I know about being a man, he taught me morals, he taught me how to show compassion even though I might slip up and not show very much compassion every now and then but he still showed me what it was. He also taught me how to raise my kids and work to take care of my family.

My daddy was the greatest man that I ever met and even though he's not here for me to tell him Happy Father's Day and celebrate with him, I know he is celebrating with our Heavenly Father.

I love you Daddy and I will always think of you and miss you, and I'm patiently waiting for the day I get to tell you Happy Father's Day face to face again.
