🍅🪴Our Nampa Garden Club member Tina M. joined the 2nd Grade Class at Ronald Reagan Elementary School last week to help plant tomatoes and learn a little about the science, fun and satisfaction that comes from growing our own food. Thank you for inviting us, and letting us share our love of gardening with these great students! Hope you all have a safe and fun-filled summer!

Our 2nd grade students recently got their hands dirty with a fun hands-on learning opportunity as they planted tomatoes and learned more about gardening, responsibility, and the science behind growing plants.

A huge thank you to the Nampa Garden Club for generously donating the supplies and helping make this experience possible for our students. Community partnerships like this help bring learning to life in meaningful ways!

May 2: AG Program Plant Sale @ Caldwell High School from 9 am to 3 pm
May 2: Nampa FFA Plant Sale @ Columbia High School, from 10 am to 1 pm
May 2: Owyhee Garden Club Plant Sale @ Church of the Brethren from 8 am until sold out
May 2: St. Paul's Ladies' Club Plant Sale @ St Paul's Catholic Church starting 8 am
May 6-8: Marsing FFA Plant Sale @ Marsing High School, various times, see their post on Instagram or the school's website.
May 8-9: Golden Garden Club of Boise Plant Sale, 1434 Clear Creek, Boise from 9 am to 4 pm

Hundreds and hundreds of veggie starts, flowers, succulents, and herbs are growing up big and healthy just in time for the Nampa Garden Club's Annual Plant/Yard and Yard Art Sale, which is scheduled for 9 am-3 pm on Saturday, May 9. We'll have a vendor selling cold drinks, plenty of yard art and a gardener's boutique, and lots and lots of great plants to get your garden off to a great start this season! Some of our Nampa Garden Club members battled the chilly, rainy weather this week to pot up and organize hundreds of seedlings for the Annual Plant Sale happening on May 9. Multiple types of tomatoes, basil, and many more items perfect for our region are now snuggled in the greenhouse to grow bigger and be all ready to go to their new homes--maybe even yours! 🍅🪴
