Locksmith Job Summary
We have an immediate opening for a Locksmith. Your job duties will include installing, repairing, adjusting, and replacing locks and other door closures around various buildings and facilities; making duplicate keys when required; and make keys to various locks and vehicles. Our ideal candidate is proficient in the techniques of the trade, and can use a variety of hand and power tools.
Locksmith Duties and Responsibilities

Duplicate keys and locks

Install locks, both mechanical and electric

Repair and maintain existing lock systems commercial and residential.

Make keys for old and new vehicles.

Locksmith Requirements

Must have a clean driving record and pass a background check

3 years experience. If you have no experience we will still take a resume and consider.

Experience with a variety of lockpicking tools and key-cutting hardware

Strong customer service skills

Related experience in carpentry, preventative maintenance, or electrical work is a plus

Other duties could include: Access Control, cameras and security systems for homes and businesses.

Did you know regular WD-40 and Graphite are not the best for your locks? In this cold weather you want to use a good lubricant so your locks dont freeze on you! WD-40 will attract dirt and moisture, graphite over time will harden and end up seizing your lock up. The best types of lubricant for locks are anything with P.T.F.E or a silicon based lubricant. They dry completely and do not attract dirt or moisture. Tri-flow is one of our favorites and you can pick it up at most lock shops or hardware stores.

Installed this AiPhone camera and keypad the past couple days at head start In payette. The front desk person and two classrooms have a monitor and can press a button and let the person in at the door, as well as talk to them and see them. Pretty cool stuff.
