Time to start planning your summer vegetable garden. What’s your favorite homegrown veggie or fruit? Tomato, pepper, cucumber, melon, berries? Just to name a few. I’ve got quite a few favorites putting on size in the greenhouse getting ready for a new home. Excited to see all my friends and neighbors stop by starting Mother’s Day weekend.

All the rain this spring has made the tulips, daffodils, and grape hyacinth’s just beautiful! Now we’re being treated to the lovely flowering trees and bushes. Just remember if you’re pruning on lilacs, forsythia, or flowering quince to do so immediately after they flower because they bloom on old wood. They will start to make flower buds for next year soon so if you wait till fall to prune back that massive forsythia you might not have very many blooms next spring.

Average day for last frost is May 10, here in this area of Idaho. Although I usually wait until Memorial Day weekend or first week of June to plant my hot weather veggies. For those of you who want to get a jump on things my greenhouse is loaded with beautiful plants waiting for their new home. I won’t have my sign up till next week but if you message, text, or call me you can come by and get early selection.

Hello all you anxious gardener’s I know how you feel…want to dig up some soil and plant your tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers. Don’t! Not yet the soil is still cold. Warm season veggies like it to be consistently in the 50’s overnight before you put their little white roots in the soil by that time the soil has had time to warm up. My greenhouse is loaded with plants that will be for sale first part of May.

It’s that time of year again and the greenhouse is getting full already! Love being in here out of the wind preparing for the summer months of gardening Many times my fur kids keep me company. I will have starts of your summer favorites ready to go starting mid may.

Very hopeful that all the cold weather is behind us now. Overnight temps are still pretty cool so don’t get in too much rush to put warm season veggies in the ground but start preparing. I’ve got a greenhouse full of beautiful starts that are ready to go home. Message me if your ready.

Hello everyone, I’m getting excited once again about the up coming garden season! Beautiful blooming trees, tulips, daffodils just puts a smile on my face! It’s busy in my greenhouse seeding, transplanting and watering. I’ll be having a plant sale again this year and look forward to seeing those that have blessed me with their business in the past.
