We’re celebrating Halloween a touch early today at Downtown SLO Farmers' Market.

We’re here next to our friends at Feral Kitchen & Lounge , slinging candles until 9pm.

It’s been so working with Del Dotto W**ery over the years.

Not only do they have large, consistent order, but we also get to do BIG bottles, too.

This last batch for them included one, 6L Candle with 5 wicks, and three, 9L candles with 6 wicks.

The craziest bottle was a 15L that held 30 pounds of wax.

When making deliveries with your puppy, make sure to give them some time to burn off the zoomies.

BTW, our friends at High Camp W**es have one of the most beautiful views and properties to taste at.

Tell them Rogue sent you. You probably won’t get anything, but maybe they’ll give you an extra splash.

It was absolutely wild coming across this picture today.

12 years ago, this month, we moved to Napa.

Since we could only afford an apartment, I wasn’t able to sand bottles at our place.

I would cut bottles while my daughter napped or at night, take them to my tiny storage unit to sand, go back to my house to wash them out, and then make the candles on my counter.

26 year old Chris would be blown away to see what the business has become.

How he progressed from that apartment and storage unit, to having a warehouse with employees, and, eventually, moving back to the Central Coast.

Then again, maybe he could believe it. That guy was always an ambitious MFer with huge goals.

I guess some things never change.

While we’re grateful to now have a schedule that’s regularly full, it hasn’t always been that way.

I used to do a lot more events, especially b**r and/or w**e festivals.

Before every festival, I’d email and DM every w**ery or brewery asking for empties, and offer them candles as samples.

The result? A whole lot of “no’s” and even more no responses.

Even when we moved to Paso, we reached out to every w**ery brand, and received less than a dozen responses.

With all of that rejection, we knew it would only take a few “Let’s do it” to make the business viable.

Here we are, 15 years in, full time for 9 years, and working with nearly 100 clients nationwide.

For all of you that said “yes” or referred us to another client, we can’t thank you enough.

Are you a restaurant or bar looking to do something with all those beautiful bottles you go through day after day?

Why not follow the recipe provided by our friends at Les Petites Canailles?

They serve w**es from their amazing list, save some of their favorite bottles, and have us turn them into candles.

It’s that simple.

Have some bottles you’d like to give a second life?

Let’s talk.
