40 Projects 40 Years - Project #10: Completed in 2018, this English garden layout fit nicely with our clients’ Tudor style home. Natural stone stepping paths lead to programmed outdoor rooms separated by hedges and dense plantings, Multiple water elements were introduced to add aesthetic and euphonic interest. Walls were constructed using the same stone as the home’s facade, helping to draw the architecture out into the landscape.

40 Projects 40 Years - Project #9: Completed in 2021, this beautiful home in Downers Grove had been recently renovated inside and out. Blending traditional and modern design techniques in the landscape was of utmost importance to tie in with the recently renovated home. Reclaimed clay was introduced directly from the clients’ home town in southern Illinois to create walkways and seating areas. Natural stone was used to create columns and retaining walls, which tied in with the natural stone veneer used on the home. Finally, lush landscaping was added to soften up all the hard lines and add interest throughout the yard.

Since 1985, C.B. Conlin Landscapes has been creating custom outdoor environments for discerning clients in and around the Naperville area. Our company was founded with three basic principles in mind; design, build and enjoy. We strive to design landscapes that are distinctive to our clients and the communities in which they reside. We aim to build not only fine landscapes, but life-long relationships with our clients, co-workers and community. Most of all we seek to promote the enjoyment of life through our built outdoor environments.

Owner Barry Conlin attributes the company’s 34 years of success to the talent, knowledge and work ethic of his entire staff. He also gives a lot of credit to the great community of Naperville. “It was by luck that my family moved to Naperville in 1966. We have been fortunate enough to live and work in a city that is focused on growth and progress. We all feel very fortunate to provide our services to one of the most sought-after communities to live in the entire country” says Conlin.
