Penny finally 🙌 got a pedicure, her hooves were BAD. She'll probably need another trim in 4 weeks. Sedation was necessary, but my daily training with her should get her more comfortable 🙌. We kept Tommy in the pen with her, as she would have been more nervous without her buddy, and obviously he's keeping an eye on the farrier. The boys got their trims earlier in the week. Just like horses, donkeys need their hooves on a regular trim schedule.

We would like to introduce our 4th donkey, Penny, she came to live with us on October 22nd from HisWay Farm and Exotics....

We would like to introduce our 4th donkey, Penny, she came to live with us on October 22nd from HisWay Farm and Exotics. She is a standard sized donkey, approximately 5 years old, and is our only Jenny (female donkey). She is still pretty shy with us, we hope she settles in soon.
