❤️ Happy 85th Heavenly Birthday, Dad. ❤️
Today would have been my dad, Jimmie Dale Wexell’s, 85th birthday.
We lost him on July 5th of this year, and it’s hard to believe this is the first birthday we’re spending without him here.
Looking back through these pictures today brings back so many memories. From his younger years, to our family growing up, to his accomplishments throughout life, and finally to the two of us standing together with our arms around each other.
It’s amazing how a handful of photographs can tell the story of a lifetime.
As we get older, I think we begin to understand just how precious time really is. We go through life thinking there will always be another birthday, another visit, another conversation, another opportunity to say the things we want to say.
And then one day, all those ordinary moments become the memories we treasure most.
What I wouldn’t give for one more conversation, one more laugh, or one more hug.
Dad, I’m grateful for the years we had, the memories we made, and the part of you that will always live on through our family.
Happy 85th Birthday in Heaven, Dad. I love you, I miss you, and I will carry you in my heart for the rest of my life.
