Francisco Rmz and his crew retrofit an old air handler in a residential garage that sat on a drywall and lumber platform. They removed all of the damp organic materials and replaced with clean metal duct.

EPA makes rules that only benefit large multinational companies at the expense of small HVAC companies and consumers. It won’t be the last bad policy ; expect more to come.

In 1924 American inventor, entrepreneur, and naturalist Clarence Frank Birdseye II invented the quick-freezing method and in 1928, he was successful in producing the double belt freezer, which would be the forerunner to modern freezing technology. VHS video of 1st EPA Refrigerant Certification Exams. These were the first technicians to qualify to handle refrigerants in 1991. The 1st transition was to eliminate ozone depleting chemicals (freon). In 2021 we begin a new phaseout of current refrigerants and transition to mildly flammable replacements that have less global warming impact if released to atmosphere. Lots of training to do! (Again).

Did you know that our current Refrigerants will be phased out in the next 15 years? Did you know that the refrigerant that you have now is nonflammable? The new refrigerants are formulated to reduce greenhouse gas emission if leaked but are flammable. You will see many new products introduced that use these. If you drive a new European car, chances are that you already have flammable refrigerant in it.
