Each one is as individually unique as you, and no two pieces are identical!! Some of the materials I use while crafting my wares are: natural and dyed hemp ‘jute’ twine (which becomes softer the more you wear it as it absorbs oils from your skin); cotton cord; leather cord; suede ribbon; paracord; wooden, glass, sea shell, ceramic, acrylic, and various metal beading and pendants; semi-precious gemstones and crystals of either whole polished or raw stones and beads variety. Semi-precious gemstones and crystals have been regarded through out the centuries to carry various mystical healing and protection properties of the physical, emotional, and spiritual nature for the wearer. A simple Google search of any named stone/crystal will reveal a slew of ailments and afflictions of the mind body and soul that they can assist to combat and alleviate. Gemstones and crystals NEED to be ‘activated’ and routinely ‘cleared’ and ‘charged’. There are various methods for accomplishing this. You can clear them by running them thru the smoke of burning sage or running under warm water or by covering in sea salt. Then you can charge/activate them by bathing in sunlight for a day (may cause color fading in time) or moonlight over night (I place mine on a windowsill) or being placed on the healthy soil of a thriving plant.
