That bleached Ash still stands out against the white backdrop. Custom desk I recently finished. Instead of drawers, the client wanted a shelf for processing in/out paperwork as well as a place for power cords/transformers that was accessible but not visible. The main desk surface will support 2 monitors and a laptop with docking station. The design achieves a light and airy feel with the absence of any surfaces reducing the transparency of the desk. The splayed legs create a delicate connection to the ground which reduces the visual weight of the piece. I am thinking this might also look great in Walnut or Cherry. If interested in something similar to this desk DM me.

Some finished photos of the trestle table that I have been working on. This piece was was somewhat whimsical, incorporating some Art Deco styling into the trestles, and repeating that idiom with the brass inlay in the live edge Maple top. The trestles were finished with a satin black lacquer and the Maple was given a weathered look and then finished with a clear lacquer. This piece was a bit of experimentation in both design and fabrication. The trestles are 4” thick, but with the perforations, are light in appearance. I think they have an industrial appearance to them, somewhat reminiscent of steel framework of bridges. This piece may have strayed outside the boundaries of what I consider my aesthetic to be, but it was fun nonetheless to make.

Legs for a custom desk in the works. Each leg is comprised of 4 individual pieces that were cut out and then assembled and reshaped to add the softened edge as well as the ‘haunched’ shoulder to receive a cross stretcher. Made of solid ash, the legs and the rest of the components will get sanded and then on to finishing.

This floating vanity is made from solid kiln dried Walnut. The inset sliding doors are edged with hard Maple to provide a contrast and add some dimension to the piece. The Walnut backsplash has floating Maple shelves with inset circular mirrors and Maple edging as well. As it is a floating vanity it needed to be built to withstand the additional stress of no base, and the joinery and components of this piece were reinforced throughout.
