Bittersweet moment—sold one of my all-time favorite pieces, a painting I’ve entitled ‘Madonna of the Birkin.’ She was with me in my previous micro apartment and found her place above the mantel in my current home. She’s seen first dates and breakups, watched me laugh and cry, and was there when Chloe first arrived. Parting with her feels like saying goodbye to an old friend, but I’m comforted knowing she’s going to a home where she’ll be truly appreciated. I’m choosing to view her absence as the start of a new chapter, rather than a loss. I’m already cooking up ideas for my next piece to fill the void above my fireplace—excited to share my progress!
