Today we will be closing early at 10:00 AM at Red Oak Mulch & Garden Center so that our team can attend and participate in Leon’s Homegoing Service.

Leon meant a lot to many of us and to our community, and we want to take this time to honor his life and support his family and loved ones.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support. We will resume normal hours on our next business day.

Please keep Leon’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers today. 🙏

TODAY has been a roller coaster ride of emotions! Heaven and I did some trading. We sent an Angel to Him and He sent an Angel back to me. We lost our dear friend, son and brother Leon Pulley. Many of you know him from here at the shop. A beautiful soul, everyone he met became a friend. Leon struggled with a heart condition and has had an LVAD the past 7 years. The right side of Leon’s heart stopped working and fluid build up became an issue and ultimately damaged his other organs. This young man has literally been through hell and back. But you noticed I said “and back”because he’s not there now. Leon’s faith was powerful. He loved Jesus and he let everyone know it. He was never able to get on the heart transplant list here but I believe he’s got a new one now! He will be truly missed, he meant a lot to me and to my family. He was family. Now back to the trading. The Good Lord giveth and The Good Lord taketh away. I left Leon at Duke to go to Rex Hospital to welcome my new granddaughter Ms Elsie Laine Baker! 8 lb 11 oz, 21 1/4” beautiful lil girl. Phillips second born. So, in a matter of 2 or 3 hours we’ve experienced a wave of emotions. I choose to rejoice and be thankful. Leon is healed and I have a beautiful new baby. God is Good!
