Roadside Service Tech ~ Locksmith Apprentice

We are a locally owned locksmith company looking for a Locksmith Apprentice and Roadside Service Tech. No experience necessary but definitely a plus. Your duties will include car unlocks, fuel deliveries, jump starts, tire changes, battery sales and Locksmith duties once trained. Customer service skills a must. We will provide the vehicle and the tools for your shift so you must have a clean driving record. You will also have to pass a background check. You will be hired in as a locksmith apprentice. It is an hourly paid position with additional pay for incentives, battery sales and commission on locksmith jobs. You will be paid weekly. This is a link to verify if a company or individual is licensed with the state of TN. Even if the company is licensed, the individual at your house or car has to have a state issued license too.

Here is a News Channel 5 Investigates story about the scam Locksmiths you might run into. Remember, state law says they must be in a marked vehicle and have their state issued locksmith license on them! This story is from 2009 but unfortunately the state still has not started enforcing the state law.

If you don't already have a good locksmith in mind, NewsChannel 5 Investigates has found you could end up with an unscrupulous one when you need help.
