- Try to manage your hot water usage
- Check the speed of your draining shower and sinks
- Make sure none of your toilets are running constantly
- Look for any visible leaks around your dishwasher, toilets, under sinks, washing machine hoses and even your outside hydrants
- Insulating your water pipes can reduce the amount of time you wait for hot water
- Installing a low-flush toilet opposed to a normal one can save you around 20,000 gallons of water per year

And remember, regular maintenance is crucial...you should have your plumbing system inspected and serviced by a plumbing professional every few years.
