Someone shared this with me when I was bragging about my reverse osmosis.

"Don't you have to add minerals if you use a reverse osmosis filter?"

No! You don't have to have minerals in your RO water, as most minerals come from food, but adding them back (remineralization) can improve taste (i dont need it) , and ensures a small dietary mineral boost, with options like mineral drops or special filters being common. RO water is very pure whichis way better than tap water in my experience. Adding a mineral rich salt is totally enough.or if so inclined an alkaline filter.

If you have a decent diet or take whole food supplements the benefit of an RO outweigh any potential loss.
