Kentucky Derby Day! Run for your Roses to Myrtle Grove at Rt 13 Weirwood! and don’t forget to pick up some Kentucky Colonel, mint julep, Mojito, or pineapple mint as pictured here, for your favorite iced tea or salutory drink. They are all winners!! See you before 5:30 today!

Come tour our colorful garden! Rt 13,  9142 Riggins Rd.
The roses have finally begun to bloom.
DRIFT roses— subtle colors of coral, apricot, peach, pink, red, white. The great KNOCKOUTS. And our favorite gold, SunBelt South Africa! You are gonna want more than one for sure!  Stop and smell the lilacs—“Boomerang”- so named because the blooms come back in the fall. Joyce wanted me to show you hers, pictured here with her very special roses. Already one of the South Africa golds that she planted for our mothers has 23 blooms, last year blooming profusely up until Christmas. It was amazing!  and Joyce wanted you to see some of these first blooms this year. She also wants you to know, she misses you all very much.

We grow 105 different HERBS— Culinary, aromatherapy, medicinal. Your pick!
We have 12 different flavors of basil, 15 different lavenders, 12 different cultivars of rosemary; so many lemony herbs….. and with the Kentucky Derby rounding the stretch… chocolate mint, peppermint, Kentucky Colonel, Mint julep, Mojito, Morrocan, spearmint, apple mint, orange mint, banana, ginger and pineapple mint. Joy, delight and smiles are meant to be!!

Oh!! and I forgot to tell you about all the vegetable plants. They are rocking and rolling and are looking for a forever home! (they sound like they’re our pets—-well some of them are!). Jerry has been a farmer since he was five years old, bunching radishes in Celeryville, Ohio for his farming family.
He knows vegetable plants AND tomatoes. Make sure you ask him for some Japanese cucumbers— burpless, delicious and high-yielding. And yellow squash? try our Multipik. Zucchini Elite is our favorite zucchini.

Aren’t we glad it’s spring?!!!
Every day Jerry is bringing new plants to the shop—from the best in the greenhouses! …..adding more color to brighten everybody’s day. ENCORE azaleas, which bloom again, are already there, with the favorite reds, pinks, and whites in traditional bloom. And I think you’re going to love the new shades of Proven Winner plants, such as Stormburst and Iced Cherry verbenas. Come see what we’ve grown for you…..(and me!)

Dear Friends! WE ARE OPEN!! Rte. 13 between Nassawadox and Birdsnest under the Riggin sign.
With the advent of warm weather, Jerry is filling the benches with all your favorite plants in all your favorite colors.
Stunning azaleas are out front on the lawn. Roses and shrubs are on the way this week. Jerry’s vegetable plants will give your garden a head start! And our blooming annuals, perennials, and hanging baskets will give you delight— the color will bring your porch and yard to life—and make you smile.
Hours: Mon - Sat..9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday 1 p.m.-4:30 p.m.

Hi I’m Joyce the lady that ran the flower shop in Weirwood for the last 7 years. I’ve unfortunately had to leave my job due to being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. I will miss you all so much. It’s been an absolute pleasure helping with your gardening needs every season! As a lot of you know my husband also has stage 4 esophageal cancer and your prayers are what have given us the biggest blessing of him still being with us. Thank you for your prayers for him. We hate reaching out to ask for donations but with the government shut down it’s going to be a while before I start receiving disability. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. I know times are hard for everyone so even a prayer would be a huge blessing!!
