Well y’all, it’s that time of the year again and it looks like we have a tropical storm moving up the slot.
Time to check your supplies of water, batteries, spare gasoline, check to see if your emergency generator is operational, get your important papers in a buyout bag, and withdraw some spare cash in nothing larger than 20’s. (Remember without electricity you’ll have no ATM’s and your cards won’t work either. Get ready

I know the holidays are coming up. We all want to put up those fall decorations, burn those pumpkin scented candles, and hang up some extra lights, and maybe put a fire in the fireplace. I just want to remind you during this time please check your FIRE ALARMS, SMOKE DETECTORS, and CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTORS.

They saved my life and my family once, and I can tell you they are really important.

If they are 7 years old or older, you should really consider replacing them. If you can’t afford it, call your local fire department. They have a program that can help.

Okay y’all, the first freeze is coming soon. Take time this weekend to purchase your faucet covers and take those hoses off the faucets if you haven’t done so already.
Pick them up now at Ace or Walmart before the first freeze warning causes a supply shortage. You know it happens every year.

Also look at turning off you sprinkler pump and pulling the drain plug. Otherwise you will be calling me next spring to install a new one. 😁
