We would like to thank everybody for their plant pre-orders for the customers that support us year after year. We had a great 2026 starter plant season. We are now closed for the rest of the year to focus on growing for our CSA members. If anybody wants any plants we will do appointments, but we would like to check first to see if we have the plants your looking for. Please message us.

Friday could be the final day open!!! The greenhouse is empting out fast. One day sale Friday May 29th 9-3 BOGO on all veggie plants..

How much can you plant in a 4x8 raised garden bed? I get asked this question a lot.
More than you think!
Will it look like a jungle come July and August? Absolutely! BUT it’ll also produce an abundance of fresh food. Plus, packing it in will keep the w**ds away.
Thank goodness because I didn’t want to w**d anyways.

As a mom and grandma , this one really got to me.
Even organic food is bad I will attach the link so you can see what they put on organic food as well.
So hearing reports about pesticides connected to cancer being found on strawberries is honestly heartbreaking and concerning.

It’s hard when you’re doing your best to make good choices for your family, only to later question whether the foods you trusted were truly as safe as you believed.
At Fox Family Farm CSA & Greenhouse we don’t use chemicals join our CSA now to enjoy good clean food.

Container vegetables usually fail from root competition — not lack of fertilizer. Pair plants with different root depths so they share space instead of fighting for nutrients.

🌿 Great container combos:

* Tomato + basil + marigold — deep, shallow, and pest protection
* Cucumber + bush bean + nasturtium — climbing, nitrogen fixing, and aphid control
* Pepper + oregano + alyssum — heat lovers with natural pest defense
* Carrot + scallion + lettuce — all use different soil layers
* Kale + Swiss chard + pansy — moisture-loving leafy mix
* Strawberry + spinach + chives — shallow-rooted and perfect for baskets
* Eggplant + thyme + bush pea — canopy, ground cover, and light nitrogen boost
* Zucchini + radish + borage — quick harvest plus pollinator support
* Bush bean + beet + garlic — layered roots with natural pest deterrence

🌱 The key: combine deep, medium, and shallow roots with similar water needs. That’s how you get thriving containers instead of overcrowded ones.
