This is not a scam. I have seen this on social media lately. It is there to avoid having to replace the whole sleeve were the nossel goes. They are 395 dollars and break all the time and this a cheap fix. The pump resets once the flap is pushed up not where it stops. The bolt is there to prevent the flap from coming to far out. When the flap comes to far out it won’t allow you to select the grade of fuel you want.
