The Evolution :

“Evolution" ceramic mosaic tile features a mesmerizing transition from earthy copper and gold tones to vibrant cobalt blues, arranged in a textured grid of circular and rectangular shapes. This hand-painted piece by AFS Mosaics creates a rich, dimensional pattern that suggests a natural transformation from earth to sky or from sea to sun.

The red jasper stone is seated in a simplistic setting with a hidden bail. This creates the illusion of a floating flame over the sternum, as if a fire is rising up from within. Red jasper is an ancient and sacred stone that been used for protection and is considered a stone of the goddesses in many cultures.

Introducing the first pairing of the series, THE DANCERS.

The hand painted mosaic is rich with colorful squares and circles, arranged in an intricate, layered pattern. The handmade ceramic tile is made from a mold of glass mosaic and is a substrate of Ariel’s Mosaic Evolution Tile collection. The painting technique achieves a textured, three-dimensional effect. The colors, including reds, blues, yellows, and greens, offer vibrant and dynamic energy.
Measures 5” square.

The Dancer’s neckpiece features 77 handcrafted links that were brought together in a slightly asymmetric pattern to create a moving, flowing cascade of polished metal that dances with the body. Oxidized sterling silver. Can be worn at 15.5 or 16.25 inches.

The contrast between the organic, painted forms and the cool, metallic rings suggests a symbolic interplay, perhaps representing the dance between creativity and structure, or softness and strength. Together, the chain becomes the grounding element that complements and balances the mosaic’s vibrancy while the colors of the tile offer visual representation of the chain’s dancing movement.
