This is a deck we did a few years ago. This deck wasn’t that old but had been damaged by multiple pets. When we pulled of the decking we found that there were no joist hangers and that most of them were not even screwed in. After going back and re secure the framing we added benches around the railing and put up some privacy for the hot tub. Also added a trap door for access to the hot tub for maintenance.
