Come get your last minute pumpkins grown here from our patch from 1-4pm! We are running a BOGO free jack o lantern pumpkin (that’s 2/$7! 🤩)!! We also have lots of beautiful pie and specialty pumpkins for gorgeous thanksgiving table centerpieces!

Well, Hello August! How did you get here so quickly!? With the turn of the calendar comes what seem like great opportunities to start something anew. I truly need to start something off better with my health... and somehow figure out some healthier work-life balance. ...and open the U PICK at some point in the next couple weeks. ...and send a child off to college! Should be another full month! What are you starting at the anew or challenging yourself with this August?

How fitting the first flowers harvested are our school colors! 💜💛 I cannot fully describe the depth of busyness that has been April and May in our household. Two high schoolers (one who just graduated!) three high school spring sports, a new position at work, big day job events that I was fortunate to be a part of and the list goes on. I have said over and over that we are thankful for all the blessings that have sort of scheduled themselves all at the same time... and not "complain" that it's been difficult to keep our heads above water. I drew a line in the sand in early April and said "no more new things can be added until June". And for the most part I said no to even the trivial things whenever I could. It has helped every little bit to be able to enjoy the overwhelm of the last several weeks as opposed to adding more stress. My house is a disaster, my kids are complaining we have nothing to eat and I am madly planting the flower field before and after work this week! It is what it is. We will catch up and figure out how to make adjustments where we need to. After missing out on SO MUCH last spring, I am feeling all sorts of grateful for what we've been able to experience in recent weeks! (even if some of it was still a bit abnornal) Here's to a bit quieter summer!

U Pick field is ready! ...even if I am not! In fact, its beyond ready and I could use a little help picking blooms in effort to continue to promote future blooms. I will do a quick "opening" video tomorrow morning to share a bit of detail regarding the uniqueness of our 2020 season!

Well, it's been a minute since I have come up for air. Everything about COVID stinks, doesn't it!?! Our family is blessed to be healthy and working, but the economic wreck and business continuity focus of all of this has my full-time job responsibilities OFF the charts and completely suffocating. ...and if you know me, you know that most would say my "normal" workweek pre-"pandemic" could have been described that way! But despite that, I am thankful to be able to work and it is not lost on me that not all have been so fortunate. My heart breaks daily to see local businesses and hard working families having to navigate through such unprecedented challenges.

Through all that was a most challenging spring of 2020, some of the planned flower seeds were planted but left unattended and then grew neglected while other more unpleasant but necessary work retained my focus.
..but flowers grew, and in true 2020 fashion, it wasn't like what I planned, but they still grew.

Later this week, I am planning to open the flower field up for the 2020 season. I will share more details in the next day or two. I am going to change things up just a bit for this season, but I am looking forward to sharing some local grown, local experience with you all VERY soon!!!
