Here’s a beginner friendly garden plan for small gardens that includes fruits, veggies, herbs, and cut flowers. You can grow a little bit of everything! Cherry tomatoes, pole beans, basil, bush melons, eggplant, and zinnias all work well together. Some bush melon varieties to grow are Bush Sugar Baby watermelon, and Cal Sweet bush watermelon.

Have only one raised garden bed or a small growing space? No problem! Here’s an beginner friendly garden plan that will give big harvests from just a few plants. Cucumbers, beans, dill, cosmos, tomatoes, and winter squash all work well together. Red Robin and Tiny Tim are great dwarf tomato varieties. For dwarf winter squash try Butterbush, Tivoli Spaghetti Squash, or Honey Bear Acorn squash.

Let’s harvest from my backyard, kitchen garden. Today I’m harvesting kale, celery, chamomile, lavender, peas, broccolini, green onions, garlic scapes, radishes, and chive seeds from my raised bed garden. Nothing like a backyard grocery store!
