SCAM ALERT – PLEASE BE CAREFUL 🚨

I came across something today that should be a reminder to everyone searching for a rental home.

I found the same property at 808 Vine Street being advertised by two different companies with two different rental prices. That’s a major red flag.

Before you send anyone money, please do your homework. Never send deposits, application fees, or rent payments to someone you have not verified as the actual owner or a legitimate property management company.

Scammers know people are desperate to find housing, and they take advantage of that. They often copy photos from legitimate listings, create fake ads, and pressure people into sending money quickly.

A few simple steps can save you a lot of heartache:
✅ Verify who owns or manages the property.
✅ Speak with someone directly.
✅ View the property when possible.
✅ Be cautious of anyone demanding immediate payment.
✅ If something feels off, trust your instincts.

One of the properties I visited today reminded me of something people don’t talk about enough.

A lot of people complain about rent prices, deposits, and landlords… but then leave properties looking like this when they move out. Trash left behind. Damage ignored. The mindset of “someone else will clean it up.”

The reality is this: situations like this are a big reason rent prices continue to rise everywhere. Cleaning, repairs, dumpsters, flooring, paint, appliances, lost rent time it all adds up fast.

Not every tenant is like this, and there are some truly great renters out there that take care of a property like it’s their own. Those people are appreciated more than they know. But moments like this are the side of property management most people never see.

At the end of the day, respect goes both ways. Respect the property, respect the next family that may live there, and respect the people who have to come behind and rebuild it.

Another one wrapped up by the Magnolia Renovations crew.

This one was a quick turnaround project here in town, but sometimes it’s the smaller details that make the biggest difference. We knocked out some siding repairs on the back of the home, repaired damaged soffit, and freshened up all the trim paint around the entire house to clean everything up and give it a crisp finished look.

No huge remodel. No dramatic transformation. Just solid work done the right way. That’s the kind of consistency we take pride in.

At Magnolia Renovations, community means everything to us.

This season, we had the opportunity to sponsor both a T-ball team and a coach pitch team and I’ve also had the privilege of coaching alongside some incredible parents who have stepped up week after week to help these kids grow. ⚾️❤️

We’re only about five weeks into the season, but already these kids have shown teamwork, resilience, improvement, and heart. Watching confidence build from the first practice until now has been one of the most rewarding parts of this season.

There’s a lot more to youth sports than wins and losses. It’s about learning, encouraging each other, building friendships, and making memories these kids will carry with them for years.

Huge thank you to every parent, coach, volunteer, and supporter involved. Magnolia Renovations is proud to invest back into the community that supports us every day.

Here’s a few moments from the season so far we wanted to share with everyone.
