Things are starting to pick up, glad to see the days getting longer and the temps getting warmer. Had some erosion control work in Borden for an old friend from school. His yard is all hill and it was getting rutted and washed over the hillside. With a little reshaping and a little fill, I redirected the runoff to be more widespread and slowed down. Here are a few shots from today.I'd like to thank Terry Glotzbach dump truck service for the referral. I think this is the biggest so far, everything inside that perimeter you see dug is stump. Big ol' Maple, it measured 54" just above the root line. Overall I think it was around 12' at the widest point and I cut about 2' of the base before I started grinding. Of course that big the ground was mounded around it so I had to take everything down somewhat level with the ground around it. It took 4 passes with the grinder. Main thing is, he has a yard now instead of a big ugly half rotted stump. The house was built in 1890 and I'd bet the tree was there then or very soon after.

You need it done? We can do it. New decking and some shape changes on a deck. Composite decking, still not sure if I'm a huge fan but its longevity is a BIG plus. Had to do a little reinforcing and modifications to the original framework to make everything mate up but it definitely looks 100% better than the old&moldy treated liabilities. Waiting for the facia boards to come in to wrap the exposed faces and the owner is installing the hand rail but heres where we stand.

This thing was a BEAST! It was 72" at the ground and about 3' tall. Gladly the center was gone and most of the remaining wood was soft.This was in downtown Louisville, it took up most of his yard. I'll get a picture of the debris I hauled off, I really need a dump truck!! The ol' Bobcat and mini stump away came through again. Filling with composted soil and seed and straw are an option I offer. Hauling away the grindings and debris are included with every job.
