Hello.
I am Nazlı.
Painter Naz.
The woman who creates her works from memories gathered through travel.
The woman who sees while wandering, mixes what she sees with her emotions, and pours it onto canvas.
The woman who uses colors not as colors, but as feelings.
For me, blue is not blue. It is restlessness.
Red is not red. Sometimes anger, sometimes passion.
I cannot express my emotions by speaking. I express them by painting.
And I invite the viewer too, saying, “Come, step into this story as well.”
I do not know any other way anyway.

Sometimes creating something means going between feelings I don’t fully understand. A day of creating from my life can look like this. Going between different feelings and staring at my paintings. Like, for a long time! I live my days trying to find the right color and seeing if it’s really the one I meant to put there.
