Some days I need to preach to myself!

God does not keep us from experiencing pain + loss, sleepless nights of suffering, or silent cries only we know of.

Instead He gives us hope in the midst of the trials and strength for the weariness that life holds.

Just keep leaning on Him.

Hi there!

It’s been awhile since I’ve personally said hello to you here at 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐲 and with some new friends, I thought I’d give a warm welcome to everyone!

So hey, I’m Pamela — the face behind the scenes here.

My life experiences have led me to a full understanding that life isn’t at all what I envisioned it would be.

Some things are far more beautiful than my mind could ever imagine.

And some are far more painful than my heart would ever think possible.

Through life’s unpredictable ebbs + flows, there is one thing that remains my constant —the unwavering love of Our Father, with hope, grace, mercy and strength weaved throughout.

Wobbling through life has become my norm, and when my daughter ran ahead to meet Jesus — it shook and broke me to my core.

I’m still standing because God has equipped me with His strength. I'm still standing because my hope is not of this world, but rather in the promise of Heaven.

Dear Friend, I don’t know where you may find yourself in life’s journey today?

My prayer is that you feel welcome here -- and that my words will inspire, encourage and lead you to the One that will sustain you through each turn in life.

Together we can embrace each other as we journey in sync by praising Him through storms and praising Him when the sun shines bright too.

You are held!

When I looked out at the snow weighing down the tree branches, I was taken back by the connection to my heart.

It’s heavy!

I often feel as though I’ll break from the heaviness. Maybe you do too?

So heavy, we’ll split right open.

But, these heavy weights aren’t being held on their own. Instead, God is holding every last ounce!

I’ve learned through the many years of heartache that I haven’t broken yet.

I’m bending though. Oh goodness how I bend!

But, I am always held.

Just like these branches hold the weight of this heavy snow, I am held by the One who will never let me break.

He bends with me and sustains all that weighs me down.

Dear Friend, you are being held too.

Sometimes when life gets busy or just plain overwhelming, we forget to breathe.

Instead we run and scramble to other outlets. Or, we stop moving altogether when the outside noises filter in so loudly and we can't make sense of the confusion.

We forget to breathe in all what God so desperately wants our hearts to hear and know and feel. We forget to breathe in Him.

Just like our living breath is vital, so it the act of breathing in Truth.

Our hope is not found in the busy of life, the confusion, or the noise - it's found in just breathing in all of who God is.

Just Breathe.

Sometimes I just want to run from the world.

The sadness.
The sickness.
The confusion.
The politics.
The crime.
The hate.
The division.

But, then there is a whisper that says "Keep pressing on and run to Me instead".

I've been reminded that there is a strong and steady voice that speaks of love, strength and Truth and is far louder than the negative voices of the world.

It's hard to understand the heaviness that looms in every direction, but God is at work! These may be hard times, but this is the time we have been created for (Es. 4:14).

So, instead of wanting to turn it all off I need to listen that whisper and keep pressing into the One who is in control.

Nothing in this world will ever have victory over the hand of God!

So often I forget that God is the master of providing hope in the most unlikely places.

Even when life feels cracked wide open!

Maybe you’re in that place right now of feeling broken to a point of questioning just how you’ll mend?

It could be that your fears and worries are driving you to your knees because you’re desperate for a break through?

Or maybe it’s that lonely and isolated heaviness that makes you feel as though you’ll break wide open from being misunderstood?

You’re clinging tight for answers and for direction because the path before appears so bumpy that you can’t see through it?

I’ve been in all these places before.

And not just once.

I often need reminding that God is always at work. Maybe you needed this reminder today too?

Even in what may seem like the most broken or unlikely place, God is in every detail.

And where He is, there is always hope!

The Christmas Nail ❤

Every year on our Christmas tree, we hang a nail for all to see.

A reminder of the nails that pierced Jesus' body as His life was sacrificed away.

A symbol of love that represents the greatest gift given to you and to me.

Hanging from it's little red cord, the story of Jesus, our Savior, our Lord.

I remember the first time I saw my last name in print. Having been newly married it was a real special moment! Even still all these years later, it makes my heart smile when I see my name in print on something.
