As spring arrives at Adirondack Farm, the first phase of work is nearing completion with the recent deck addition to the barn. Framed by fresh seasonal views, the new deck with its cable rail system provides sweeping panoramas of the farm’s fields and the North Watuppa Reservoir in the distance. We’re looking forward to seeing the landscape come to life this season—and to future work on this beautiful site!

This month, we’re excited to spotlight Doug, one of our Project Managers at T2 Architecture! He began his academic journey studying Pre-Med at SUNY Oswego before transferring to NYIT, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Technology.

Doug has a particular appreciation for historic architecture, especially designs that showcase exposed timber and traditional structural systems.

He enjoys being involved early in a project’s conceptual phase where he can focus on “steering clients down the path, discussing options, and potential setbacks, then getting to see it through fruition.” Doug’s favorite parts of the design process is detailing and construction:

“Detailing makes sure you know how it gets constructed, and you can work out the constructability issues ahead of time. Construction to make sure it gets done properly, and corners aren’t cut, watching everything take shape, and knowing what changes need to be made or mistakes need to be fixed for the next time.”

The best advice he’s received on the job? “Don’t upset the client or the OPM.”

Outside of work, Doug enjoys relaxing with a piña colada and spending time with his Golden Retrievers. He’s a fan of beach vacations—particularly St. Martin and the Outer Banks—but also enjoys more high-energy trips like Bike Week in Daytona or visits to Key West with friends. He’s especially looking forward to the upcoming summer season!

The new Congdon-DeValles Elementary school’s Gathering Hub is taking shape—where imagination meets construction and vision becomes space. These images show the journey from early renderings to real progress on site, and we couldn’t be more excited about what’s coming to life. Designed as the heart of the school, the Gathering Hub will be a vibrant, flexible environment where students and teachers come together to collaborate, present, and connect. Whether it’s a class presentation on the steps, small group learning, or school-wide moments, this space is built to support it all.

Even more special, the Hub brings together every corner of the school:
“Earth” – the main hallway with specials and cafeteria
“Water” – Kindergarten & 1st grade
“Wind” – 2nd & 3rd grade
“Sun” – 4th & 5th grade
All paths lead here—creating one shared space for the entire learning community.

Stay tuned as this central hub continues to grow into a place full of energy, creativity, and connection.

We were proud to celebrate a major milestone for the Swansea community with the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Swansea Town Hall addition and renovation!

This exciting project will enhance and modernize the existing Town Hall while preserving the character and history that make it such an important part of Swansea. The addition will create more space, improve accessibility, and better serve residents for years to come.

We appreciate everyone who came out to be part of this memorable day, as well as all those who helped make this project possible. We’re excited to see it take shape and to share this revitalized space with the community in the near future!

Happy Women in Construction Week!

This week, we recognize and celebrate the incredible women who help shape the built environment—from architects and engineers to project managers, tradeswomen, and construction leaders. Their expertise, creativity, and leadership are essential to bringing great ideas from the drawing board to reality.

At our firm, we’re proud to work alongside talented women who design innovative spaces, solve complex challenges, and help build stronger communities every day. Their perspectives make our projects better and our industry stronger.

As we celebrate Women in Construction Week, we also look ahead—continuing to support, mentor, and inspire the next generation of women in architecture, engineering, and construction.

Here’s to the women designing, building, and leading the future.

Take a look at how the future Swansea Town Hall might appear during a winter storm—much like the one forecasted for this weekend! With a winter storm expected in the coming days, we encourage everyone to use caution, monitor local weather reports, and prioritize safety.

We’re thinking of our clients and community during this time and wish you a safe, warm, and cozy few days ahead. ❄️ Stay safe and take care!

This month, we’re excited to introduce Allison, one of the talented architects at T2!

Allison earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture from Roger Williams University. Her go-to productivity tip is making lists, and the best advice she’s ever received is simple but powerful: ask questions!

When reflecting on her favorite part of the design process, Allison replied "Although the most exhilarating part is watching your design come to life during construction, my favorite part of the design process is conceptual design. It’s the phase where you are imagining something that is completely non-existent and the first ideas take shape. It’s when you meet and get to know your clients, community, and their challenges. The phase where you get to use your notebooks for things other than words. "

Allison has been a key contributor to the DeValles Elementary School project, which she cites as her favorite project at T2. "It was my first elementary school project, and, being a resident of New Bedford myself, it felt important to me to help create a dynamic learning space for my community. It is also a project that means a lot to my family and friends that attended DeValles and Congdon schools in the past."

Ally's favorite weekend activity is hiking and brunch (together!). She also enjoys traveling - her favorite destination she's visited is Italy.

We're happy to have her as part of our T2 team!
