As much as I cringe at the thought of change and transition into the unknown, I do adore following a steady and gentle pace in the right direction. It may not be pretty at times, but it sure is pretty cool when the work is done and the peace falls about to let you know that you chose the right path this time. Look out for the next fork in the road cuz it's coming soon. Focus and be brave and never forget to just do the right thing, the best you can.

Hi friends! I just thought I would finally give you all a quick update about Hometown Store N More since things have fallen into a comfortable place for me.
As you have noticed, I no longer have a vintage store. That space is now being utilized as a give-away center for clothing and items needed for emergency situations and for families in need of essentials. This is now called the Hang-Up and is operated by the same lovely women who hold the Comet Closet clothing give-aways held two or three times a year at Elgin (old) high school. Please let me now if you are in need and I will pass it along to them. I am so proud to be able to offer them this space for their generous and hard work.
The apartment above is fully renovated, finished and rented. That was quite a project and I am so grateful to everyone who helped me with this crazy dream of mine.
The apartment above the post office has been furnished and I have my first mid-term stay renter . This will be listed from now on as a fully furnished apartment for traveling professionals such as nurses, other medical professionals and engineers who have contrated in the area for one to three months and will be on a month to month lease. I am very excited about this since I work with traveling professionals and have heard of their great need for this type of housing as compared to hotel rentals.
So all in all, i am very pleased with how my last 3 years have fallen into place.
Although I miss having my little store and seeing my customers, you all know as well as I do, that I just did not have the time to do such a great thing with that fun little store and I apologize to anyone that I let down while I was trying to do so.
So here's to 2025. The past 3 years have been a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to my next adventure....cuz you know I will have my next crazy thoughts soon. Lol

Please do not allow DG market in New Bloomington to disgrace our wonderful opportunity to have such a treat. Pay for what you want. And if you need, reach out and community is ready and willing to help out with. All I am asking is that you respect and be grateful and help take care of this store. Even if you are against the big name stores, just sit back and allow those who appreciate this. Or go put out the money to open back up a real grocery in our town.

The first DG Market in all of Marion county happens to be in Lil old New Bloomington . And the fresh meats and vegetables are a long awaited treat to this area. I hope you all appreciate what a special thing that is!

I have been trying what I could to take down this page so as not to cause any more confusion about my decision to close the store, and have been concerned about my inability to do so, even when I followed all directions and was responded to that my page would no longer be available to public .
Yet I still have new views and followers. So now I will just let you follow my latest adventure . It was easy for me to let go of the ideal small town store as it was not supported enough for my time and never really ever was MY 1st vision for the space that I purchased 2 years ago. But recent events have fallen into place to align with my visions and purpose for my investment. So stay tuned if you wish, to follow a path that I for one know is a wholesome and God-corrected journey of the best of all options. Be safe and blessed and let's journey together.
