This customer got a major upgrade!

From drainage correction all the way to a seamless mortared border done the right way, this project completely transformed the look and functionality of the property.

✔️ Shrubbery removal

✔️ Rock installation to eliminate ongoing mulch maintenance
✔️ A true dry creek bed built for both function and aesthetics

One detail that sets this project apart: the customer wanted the limestone edging installed to follow the natural grade of the property rather than being forced level. This allows the border to flow naturally with the landscape while maintaining a clean, seamless appearance.

The details matter. We don’t believe in shortcuts, temporary fixes, or “good enough.” Every part of this project was designed to improve drainage, reduce maintenance, and create a clean, finished look that will last for years to come.

Done right the first time — because the details are what matter most.

This project completely transformed the functionality and appearance of this property from the ground up:

• Underbrush cleared to open up the yard and create a cleaner, more airy feel
• Gutters plumbed underground to properly correct drainage issues
• Erosion control installation to protect the property long-term
• Seamless mortared limestone flower bed borders
• Privacy shrubbery and custom planting installation
• Professionally poured concrete slab finished with decorative limestone flagstone
• Stepping stone installation utilizing the existing natural rock shelves already in place
• Fresh topsoil and hydroseed installation to finish it off the right way

One of the biggest highlights of this project was the hydroseeding. Compared to sod, hydroseed allows for deeper root establishment because the grass grows directly into the soil instead of being transplanted on top of it. It also creates a more uniform lawn over time, requires less labor-intensive installation, and is often around 1/3 of the cost of sod on larger properties.

While sod provides instant green results, hydroseed typically develops into a healthier, thicker, and more drought-tolerant lawn once fully established. It’s an excellent option for large areas, uneven terrain, erosion-prone properties, and custom seed blends tailored specifically to the environment.

When the July flood hit, this backyard took a beating. Because of the original slope, water was just inches away from coming over the back porch and into the house. That’s not happening again.

We completely regraded the yard to create a center swell, directing water safely out through the side yard where it belongs. ✔️
Down spouts tied in to underground drainage system✔️
Fresh Zoysia sod installed. ✔️
Irrigation system troubleshot and dialed in. ✔️
And to bring it all together — a custom walkway with a block rock border and precision-cut stepping stones. ✔️

Retaining wall rebuild, landscaping upgrade, erosion repair, and outdoor lighting — all wrapped up on this project!

The original wall failed because it was built on a tiny, non-structural footing with absolutely zero drainage behind it. Over time, that pressure caused cracking, shifting, and serious erosion.

So we tore it out and rebuilt it the right way — with a properly engineered concrete footing, steel reinforcement, and a full drainage system to relieve hydrostatic pressure. We also repaired the erosion, upgraded the surrounding landscape, and added outdoor lighting to bring the whole space back to life.

This is what it looks like when a wall is built to last — not just look good.
