There’s still time to get those hardwood floors looking elegant for the holiday season! Fall and winter can bring moisture and extreme fluctuations in temperature. Refinishing your hardwood floors as needed can absolutely make your home look beautiful, but also serves to protect the wood itself. Buffing and recoating involves buffing with a very fine grit and applying 1-2 coats of the finish of choice. This can help extend the time needed between full sand outs. Refinishing involves sanding all the way to bare wood and removing all old finish/stain. Refinishing a floor allows for color/sheen change, while buffing & recoating only changes sheen typically.

This one was a labor of love!
1921 farmhouse in Cibolo.
The original Longleaf pine floors were painted in a few rooms and heavily weathered in the others. Repairs were needed, as well as a headerboard in a 15 foot doorway. We were able to carefully remove our repair material from the entry way and do all necessary repairs. Some would have said these weren’t savable, but we aren’t one to shy away from a challenge!
